Job summary

Sydney Adventist Hospital in Sydney, NSW, seeks a dedicated Scrub Scout Registered Nurse to work in our perioperative theatre environment. You will collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth theatre operations and outstanding patient outcomes.

The role requires current AHPRA registration and experience in scrub nursing, with emphasis on patient safety, adaptability and strong teamwork in high-acuity settings.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Australian AHPRA registration.
• Experience as Scrub Scout RN in Neuro/Orthopaedic or complex surgery is highly regarded.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Support theatre operations alongside surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver exceptional patient care through all stages of surgical procedures.
• Contribute to planning and execution of complex, high-acuity surgeries.

As a Scrub Scout Registered Nurse, you'll play a pivotal role in some of the most complex and innovative surgical procedures, combining exceptional clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to patient care.

Working alongside highly skilled surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams, you'll be at the heart of every procedure, ensuring seamless theatre operations while delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

This unique opportunity offers exposure to highly specialised areas including Interventional Neuroradiology (INR), Hybrid Theatres, Neuro/Spinal Surgery, and Orthopaedic Surgery, supporting complex and life-changing procedures.

You are a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse who thrives in theatre environments and values teamwork and excellence in care.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Scrub Scout Registered Nurse (Neuro, Orthopaedic or complex surgical experience highly regarded)
• A strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
• The ability to remain calm, focused, and adaptable in high-acuity settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current Australian AHPRA registration Registered Nurse
• Flexibility to work a combination of morning an evening shifts Monday to Friday (no night shifts)
