Job summary

Yackandandah Health is seeking an Registered Nurse to provide overnight clinical care in our 83-bed residential aged care home in Victoria, Australia. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will manage resident care needs, respond to changes in condition, administer medications and support care staff to ensure safety and continuity of care.

This permanent part-time role covers four night shifts weekly (Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun), totaling 47.5 hours per fortnight.

Qualifications

• AHPRA Registration is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in providing clinical care in the aged care sector.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Holistic assessment in partnership with residents and their representatives.
• Development and evaluation of individualized resident care plans.
• Supervision and support for Personal Care Workers.
• Clinical care, including wound management, palliative care, and medication management.
• Liaison with medical and allied health care staff.
• Provision of safe, high-quality care in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Positive resident experience through a resident-first approach.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse at Yackandandah Health, you'll provide overnight clinical care during weekday night shifts in our 83-bed residential aged care home. Reporting to the Care Manager, you'll manage resident care needs, respond to changes in condition, administer medications, and support care staff to ensure safety and continuity of care. This is a permanent part-time opportunity, working 47.5 hours per fortnight across four nights: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
