Job summary

The Bays Aged Care in Hastings, VIC is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, high‑quality clinical care on weekday mornings in a permanent, full‑time role. You will report to the Manager and oversee morning shifts, respond to changes in resident condition, manage medications, and support care staff to ensure resident safety and continuity of care.

This role is Monday to Friday on the morning shift, with a possibility of part‑time (minimum 30 hours per fortnight) for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and current practicing certificate.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in aged care.
• Strong communication and patient-centred care mindset.

Responsibilities

• Holistic assessment with residents and representatives.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Supervise Personal Care Workers and support clinical care.
• Provide wound management, palliative care, and medication management.
• Liaise with medical and allied health staff; uphold quality standards.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse at The Bays Aged Care, you’ll deliver safe, high-quality clinical care during weekday shifts in our 90-bed residential aged care home. On a Full-Time basis, reporting to the Manager, you’ll oversee overnight clinical needs, respond to changes in resident condition, manage medications, and support care staff to ensure resident safety and continuity of care.

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday on the morning shift. Part-time may also be considered, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per fortnight.

Who are you and what will you bring?

• AHPRA Registration
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in providing clinical care in the aged care sector
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for delivering a person-centered approach to care
• NDIS Check (or willing to obtain)
