We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified Registered Nurses to join our highly skilled night duty team on 2 North at St John of God Geelong Hospital.
This is a permanent night duty position, with various FTE options available and hours negotiable with the successful candidate. The role provides an excellent opportunity for Registered Nurses seeking a consistent night duty roster within a supportive and experienced surgical team.
2 North is a 30-bed Orthopaedic and Urology surgical ward, providing specialised care to post-operative patients following a diverse range of procedures. This includes orthopaedic procedures such as joint replacements, ligament repairs and fracture repairs, as well as urological procedures ranging from kidney stone extraction through to major robotic surgery.
Working as part of the night duty team, you will play an important role in providing safe, high-quality and patient-centred care throughout the overnight period, supporting patients with their recovery and responding to their changing clinical needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your surgical nursing skills while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment.
To succeed in this role, you will be a collaborative, clinically capable and patient-focused Registered Nurse who is confident working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team during night duty.
You will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing education, professional development and maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
Previous experience within a hospital environment will be highly regarded, with experience in orthopaedic and/or urology nursing advantageous.
You will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality patient care and positive patient experiences.
Well-developed communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a night duty team.
