Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Registered Nurse to join The Terraces, Paddington, delivering compassionate clinical care and improving residents’ health and wellbeing.

You’ll work with the Care Manager and multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and review care plans, coordinate GP visits and ensure accurate documentation, while supporting families and upholding aged care standards.

Qualifications

  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA is required.
  • Bachelor of Nursing is required.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance is required.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage complex care needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care including medication administration per care plans.
  • Develop, implement and review resident care plans with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Review high-risk residents and coordinate GP visits and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with aged care standards.

Your opportunity

As our valued Registered Nurse at The Terraces, Paddington you will provide compassionate clinical care that enriches the health and well being of our residents. Working a dedicated 9:30am to 5:30pm or 10 am to 6 pm middle shift. You will work closely with the Care Manager and clinical team to support resident outcomes, clinical excellence and high-quality care delivery across the home. By combining hands‑on clinical care with additional support for care planning, documentation, family engagement and clinical follow‑up, you will play an important role in enhancing the independence, dignity and quality of life of our residents. With empathy and resilience, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care, including medication administration according to personalised care plans
  • Develop and evaluate care plans in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team
  • Review high-risk residents, including residents experiencing changes in condition, recent hospital returns and new admissions
  • Support clinical documentation requirements and ensure resident records are accurate, up to date and compliant
  • Coordinate GP visits and follow up clinical recommendations and actions
  • Build trusting, genuine relationships with residents and their families while providing emotional support and participating in family consultations
  • Progress Resident of the Day reviews, care planning activities and clinical follow-up requirements
  • Assist with referrals, assessments, multidisciplinary reviews and other clinical administration activities
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with aged care standards and regulations
  • Lead and mentor care team members to promote best practices in aged care and ensure a safe, clean environment for all.

Required qualifications and experience
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • A Bachelor of Nursing Required
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance IDli>
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage complex care needs
Preferred qualifications and experience
  • 3 years’ experience in aged care or a similar healthcare setting
  • Experience in care planning, clinical documentation and resident reviewsli>
  • Experience working collaboratively with families, GPs and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently
