Catholic Healthcare Limited in Dubbo is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide direct clinical care to residents in our Holy Spirit Dubbo aged care home. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will deliver person-centred care with a focus on safety and quality.

You will coach the personal care team, ensure adherence to Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards, and maintain compassionate, respectful care for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration; Year 2+ RN required.
• Understanding of Aged Care Legislation & Standards.
• Strong coaching and training skills.
• Excellent communication with residents, families and staff.
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance.

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Holy Spirit Dubbo, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar, you must be a Year 2+ RN
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processesStrong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
