Healthscope is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Nepean Private Hospital's ICU/Cardiology team in a permanent part-time role with casual options. You will deliver safe nursing care within a multi-disciplinary team and support patient recovery, in a modern 109-bed facility in Penrith, Western Sydney.

Requires Bachelor of Science (Nursing), current AHPRA registration, and post-graduate cardiac/ICU intent or equivalent. NSW health guidelines compliance and a new graduate year completed preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) and AHPRA registration required.
• Experience in ICU or cardiology environment preferred.
• Advanced life support certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care.
• Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient needs.
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice.

Nepean Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurses to join our ICU Team on a permanent part time role. Casual roles are available too. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Nepean Private Hospital is in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

As a Registered Nurse – Cardiology/ICU, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care


• Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care


• Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs


• Act as a role model for Safe Practice


• Supervise, direct and support nursing team members


• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs


• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care

Authority to Work in Australi

Working with Children check (if relevant)

Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent

Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

Have completed a new graduate year

Post Graduate Certificate in Cardiac or ICU (or working towards)

• Clinical experience in an ICU or cardiology environment


• Current Advanced life support (or willing to obtain)


• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards


• Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous imp


• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team


• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $ 40.26 - $56.54 per hour.
