Job summary

NBMLHD is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Coronary Care Unit at Nepean Hospital in a temporary maternity leave relief role for 12 months, with flexibility to work full-time or part-time.

You will provide high-quality, patient-centred care in a busy cardiac environment, collaborating with a skilled multidisciplinary team and using evidence-based practice to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
• Recent experience in Acute Care Nursing as a registered nurse.
• Demonstrated experience in Coronary Care Unit/Critical Care Nursing.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and eMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a specialised coronary care environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Adapt to flexible rotating rosters including mornings, evenings, and night shifts.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to NBMLHD standards.

What you will bring to the role

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)


• Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in Acute Care Nursing as a registered nurse (including Completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)


• Demonstrated evidence of recent experience in Coronary Care Unit/Critical Care Nursing


• Able to perform effectively as a team member


• Demonstrated effective communication skills – written, verbal and eMR


• Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centre care


• Ability to work flexible rotating roster including Mornings, Evenings and Night shifts 7 days week
