Job summary

NBMLHD's Nepean Hospital ICU is seeking motivated Registered Nurses to join a growing intensive care unit. Roles are Permanent Full Time or Part Time with shifts across days, evenings or nights and a competitive hourly remuneration.

You will provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care in collaboration with patients, families and a multidisciplinary team, contributing to new models of care and patient flow while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent).
• Ability to provide person-centred, family-inclusive and culturally sensitive nursing care.
• Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication and commitment to professional development.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and adapt to a flexible roster.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting time to join our Intensive Care Unit, with a new ICU building, the introduction of ACCESS Nurses, and significant advancements in our ICU outreach model creating new opportunities for Critical Care Nurses.

What you will bring to the role

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
• Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience working as a registered Nurse).
• Demonstrated capacity to provide effective Nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
• Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
• Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skillsDemonstrated commitment to professional development
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
