Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Kanwal Gardens, Kanwal Springs and Hamlyn Terrace communities on the Central Coast. Join a supportive team and provide high-quality clinical care with dignity and respect for residents.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in residential aged care is highly regarded.
• Confidence working night duty and making sound clinical decisions.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families and team members.
• Warm, professional and resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred clinical care to residents
• Monitor residents’ health and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies
• Administer medications in line with legislation, policies and clinical standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements
• Maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, dignity and independence
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care staff on shift
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control, workplace health and safety, and quality standards
• Participate in clinical handovers to ensure continuity of care between shifts
• Liaise effectively with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, families, and external providers as required
