Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts at Central Coast Care Communities. The role focuses on providing high-quality, person-centred clinical care to residents overnight, with strong emphasis on leadership and clinical decision-making during night duty.

You will monitor residents’ health, administer medications as required, and ensure documentation and regulatory compliance while upholding residents’ comfort, dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
• Night duty experience in residential aged care is highly regarded.
• Confidence working night duty and making sound clinical decisions.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families and team members.
• A warm, professional and resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred clinical care to residents overnight.
• Monitor residents’ health and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies.
• Administer medications in line with legislation, policies and clinical standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, dignity and independence.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care staff on shift.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control, workplace health and safety, and quality standards
• Participate in clinical handovers to ensure continuity of care between shifts.
• Liaise effectively with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, families, and external providers as required.

About the Role

• Night Duty Position
• $43.51 - $56.61 (DOE) base rate + Penalty rates + for weekends and public holidays, plus 12% superannuation.
