Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate clinical care for residents with diverse and complex needs in our aged care setting.

You will assess residents, develop and review care plans, administer medications, recognise deterioration, and work with families and the multidisciplinary team to enhance quality of life. Casual availability and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Empathy, respect and resilience in elder care.
• Current RN registration with AHPRB.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance and good communication.
• Sound nursing knowledge and safe resident care.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop, implement and review individual care plans.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Recognise and escalate resident deterioration, incidents and near misses.
• Apply infection prevention and control practices, including outbreak precautions.
• Support care team members to deliver safe, person-centred care.

You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and embed them in everything you do.What’s required:Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRABachelor of Nursing or an equivalent recognised qualificationNDIS Worker Screening Check clearanceSound knowledge of nursing principles, safe resident care and clinical escalationClear written and verbal communication skillsWhat’s preferred:Current first aid certificationClinical knowledgeYou understand how to recognise and respond to changes in a resident’s condition, including reduced oral intake, dehydration, weight loss, confusion or delirium, falls risk, reduced mobility, skin concerns and pressure injury risk.You also understand the importance of monitoring and preventing issues included in the National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program, such as falls, pressure injuries, unplanned weight loss, medication-related harm, infections, restrictive practices and changes in resident wellbeing.Experience and developmentAged care or other relevant clinical experience is valued but not essential. We welcome nurses who bring a fresh perspective, a willingness to learn and a positive approach. You will be supported to build your knowledge and confidence within residential aged care.Casual availabilityFor casual roles, flexibility is important.
