Job summary

NSW Health at Westmead Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiothoracic Unit on a permanent basis. You will deliver cardiothoracic nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and further develop advanced clinical skills in a high-acuity environment.

Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available; you must hold current Australian work rights. Registration with AHPRA is required.

Qualifications

• Recent relevant experience in a clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD.
• Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
• Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of health related information systems.
• Registration: Current Australian work rights and AHPRA eligibility.

What you'll be doing

As a Registered Nurse within the Cardiothoracic Unit, you will provide person-centred, evidence-informed nursing care that promotes positive patient outcomes. You will work collaboratively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care throughout the patient journey.

In this role you will:

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients with complex cardiothoracic conditions

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using evidence-based clinical practice

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
