Catholic Healthcare Limited in Wentworth Falls is seeking a Year 2+ Registered Nurse for a casual role at our Bodington residential aged care home. You will provide direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice and act as Team Leader to coach the personal care team.

Essential criteria include AHPRA registration and Bachelor of Nursing, with strong aged care knowledge and a commitment to safety.

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Bodington, Wentworth Falls, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About The Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar, you must be a Year 2+ RN
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skillsWillingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
