Job summary

LDK Seniors Living in Canberra's Weston village is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, person-centred care to residents within the village.

You will work as part of a collaborative care team, perform clinical assessments and care planning, and support sound clinical decision‑making to meet individual resident needs. This role also provides supervision to Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants, ensuring care is delivered safely and in line with best practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in Aged Care or Community Care is desirable.
• Competent in medication management and clinical assessment.
• Experience with wound and palliative care is highly desirable.
• Able to use relevant nursing technology and documentation systems.
• Understanding of funding, accreditation and quality improvement in aged care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care aligned with RN scope and NMBA standards.
• Provide care that respects residents' preferences, dignity and cultural safety.
• Undertake holistic assessments, monitor outcomes, and evaluate care interventions.
• Respond to changes in residents’ condition and escalate as needed.
• Support safe medication management and wound/palliative care within RN scope.
• Review care with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care with GPs, nurse practitioners, allied health, and external services.
• Mentor and support Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants.
• Model professional nursing behaviour aligned with LDK values.
