Job summary

Calvary St Joseph’s Retirement Community in Sandgate NSW is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership and ensure compliance with aged care standards. Casual and part-time opportunities are available to join a supportive team delivering high-quality care and a quality lifestyle for residents.

You will manage care planning, support a multidisciplinary team and participate in assessments to meet the needs of residents across dementia and independent living units.

Qualifications

• Current APHRA registration or eligibility
• Current NDIS check or willingness to obtain
• Knowledge of legislation governing aged care
• Commitment to contemporary aged care practice
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team
• Experience in assessment and care planning for older persons
• Desire to work in a mission-based organisation

About the role

As the Registered Nurse you are responsible for providing clinical leadership to staff and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements to enable us to continue to deliver a high standard of care, services and most importantly a quality lifestyle for our residents.

Calvary St Joseph’s Retirement Community is home to 135 residents and offers a dementia secure unit, an ethno-specific unit, respite accommodation services and independent living.

We have Casual opportunities to join our expanding team at St Joseph's Sandgate.

What you bring

• Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) (Essential)
• Current NDIS check or willingness to obtain (Essential)
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the legislation governing aged care
• Commitment to contemporary aged care practice
• Ability to support and lead a multi-disciplinary team
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in assessment and care planning of the older person
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
