Job summary

Medical Hub West Ryde is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our general practice team. You will deliver high‑quality nursing care, support GPs, and help manage chronic conditions with a patient‑centred approach.

Key duties include triage, wound care, vaccinations, and health assessments, with opportunities for professional development in a modern clinic setting.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration with current practising certificate.
• 1–2 years of GP or similar clinical setting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in wound care, chronic disease management and vaccination administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering patient-centred care.
• Experience using Best Practice clinical software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Medical Hub West Ryde, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent clinical care, supporting general practitioners, and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including triage, wound management, immunisations, and chronic disease management
• Assist doctors with minor procedures, patient assessments, and care planning
• Perform health assessments and develop care plans for patients with chronic conditions
• Conduct screenings, such as ECGs, spirometry, and other diagnostic tests as required
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using clinical software
• Educate patients and their families on health management, including lifestyle and medication advice
• Support infection control practices and ensure compliance with clinical standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training sessions

About you

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in general practice or a similar clinical setting (preferred)
• Proficiency in wound care, chronic disease management, and vaccination administration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
• A commitment to delivering patient-centred care
• Experience using clinical software Best Practice is advantageous
