Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and health history.
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
• Assist doctors with clinical procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate treatment room including stock, sterilisation and equipment maintenance.
• Support reception and practice management duties.
• Provide patient education and home-care information.
• Explain procedures to patients and offer reassurance.
• Contribute to infection control practices in the clinic.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team at Maroubra Doctors. You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients. With each patient, you will take vital signs, discuss their symptoms, document their health history, administer medications, and provide resources and information on how to manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses and injuries as well as a compassionate and hard-working attitude.

The chosen candidate will provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients through:

• Immunisations and other injections
• Triage
• Wound management
• Chronic disease management
• ECGs
• Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance.
• Assisting with care plans and shared health summaries
• Assisting with telehealth consultations.
• Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation.
• Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
• Implementing and practicing infection control
• Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties.

• Driving licences or photo ID

Job Type: Part Time (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
