Job summary

Uniting Goonellabah in NSW seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver person-centred care in a supportive multi-disciplinary team. You will lead care planning, clinical assessments and collaborative care with medical and allied health professionals to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Morning, afternoon and night shifts available with part-time (casual may be considered). Emphasis on compassionate, respectful, imaginative and bold care aligned with Uniting values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
  • Adaptable, empathetic, resourceful with good time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
  • New graduates welcome; aged care experience not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet individual needs.
  • Lead in providing clinical services.
  • Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life.
  • Ensure care meets residents’ individual goals.
  • Liaise with medical and allied health professionals and families to advocate for residents’ quality of life.
  • Supervise and support Personal Care Workers.
  • Practice holistically and guide the team with critical decision-making.

A Day in the Life, with Uniting Aged Care

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Uniting Goonellabah, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional person -centred care to our residents. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will ensure that each resident received the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.


Morning, Afternoon & Night Shift available – you choose! Part time (Casual may be considered)

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be a clinical leader in the service, and you will develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet the individual needs of our residents
  • You’ll need sharp clinical assessment skills and will take the lead in providing clinical services
  • Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life
  • Play an important role in making sure the care provided meets residents’ individual goals
  • You’ll liaise with medical and allied health professionals and residents’ family members to advocate for clients’ quality of life
  • Supervise and support our Personal Care Workers
  • Practice in a holistic way, using your critical decision-making skills to lead the team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree with current registration (AHPRA).
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older residents.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
  • While experience in aged or community care is highly desirable, we welcome applications from new graduates and Registered Nurses from other healthcare settings who are keen to transition into aged care.
