Job summary

Uniting Farmborough is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to provide high-quality aged care in Farmborough, NSW. You will lead resident care planning, perform clinical assessments, and support Personal Care Workers.

You will collaborate with medical teams, families, and other health professionals to meet residents' goals, with shifts Monday to Friday. AHPRA registration and at least 2 years of RN experience required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in aged or community care preferred.
• Ability to develop, implement and evaluate care plans.

Responsibilities

Uniting Farmborough Unanderra is a compassionate home that's purpose-built to provide a high level of aged care with 5 separate households, each with up to 25 residents, including a Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia.Our Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

What you’ll be doing in this role

• You will be a clinical leader in the service, and you will develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet the individual needs of our residents
• You’ll need sharp clinical assessment skills and will take the lead in providing clinical services
• Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life
• Play an important role in making sure the care provided meets residents’ individual goals
• You’ll liaise with medical and allied health professionals and residents’ family members to advocate for clients’ quality of life
• Supervise and support our Personal Care Workers
• Practice in a holistic way, using your critical decision-making skills to lead the team.

Who we’re looking for

• You’ll have previous registered nursing experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin a career in aged care if you have nursing experience in the wider health sector.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
• You’ll be committed to contemporary aged care nursing practice.
• You’ll hold a nursing degree with current AHPRA registration.

Registered Nurses who are new to aged care, or those in their first or second year of practice who have not previously completed a Graduate Nurse Program, are encouraged to participate in Uniting’s Aged Care Transition to Practice Program.
