Job summary

Uniting Tumut is seeking a registered nurse to provide clinical leadership in our dementia-friendly aged care home in Tumut, NSW. The role focuses on developing, delivering, and evaluating resident care plans to meet individual needs.

About Uniting Tumut

With four separate households, each with between 15 and 24 residents, including a Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia, Uniting Tumut is a welcoming and compassionate home with carers who often make a deep and lasting connection with residents.

Our Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinators ensure that the community is thriving and doing meaningful and enjoyable activities.

What you’ll be doing in this role

Who we’re looking for
  • You’ll have previous registered nursing experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin a career in aged care if you have nursing experience in the wider health sector.
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
  • You’ll be committed to contemporary aged care nursing practice.
  • You’ll hold a nursing degree with current AHPRA registration.

Career Development Opportunity Registered Nurses who are new to aged care, or those in their first or second year of practice who have not previously completed a Graduate Nurse Program, are encouraged to participate in Uniting’s Aged Care Transition to Practice Program. This supportive program is designed to build confidence, enhance clinical skills, and provide a strong foundation for a rewarding career in aged care.
