Uniting Armidale is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead person-centred care and deliver high-quality nursing services for residents in our aged care home. You will develop and evaluate care plans, apply clinical assessments, and work closely with residents, families and health professionals.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse at Uniting Armidale, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional person -centred care to our residents. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will ensure that each resident received the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs

Key Responsibilities

• You will be a clinical leader in the service, and you will develop, deliver, and evaluate resident care plans to meet the individual needs of our residents
• You’ll need sharp clinical assessment skills and will take the lead in providing clinical services
• Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life
• Play an important role in making sure the care provided meets residents’ individual goals
• You’ll liaise with medical and allied health professionals and residents’ family members to advocate for clients’ quality of life
• Supervise and support our Personal Care Workers
• Practice in a holistic way, using your critical decision-making skills to lead the team

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree with current registration (AHPRA)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
• Empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older residents.
• Previous aged or community care experience is desirable; however, nurses from other healthcare settings and new graduates are encouraged to apply
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
