Job summary

MSS Security in Moranbah, QLD, is seeking a Nurse with emergency response experience to join the site health team.

You will provide first response to incidents, support clinicians, manage injuries, and assist with training and HSE activities. The role includes a FIFO roster and requires current AHPRA registration and nursing qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum of two years' ED experience.
• Rural/remote nursing experience highly desirable.
• HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing.
• Australian drivers licence - C class, open licence.
• Full Australian Work Rights.
• Immunisations up to date - tetanus, hepatitis A & B.
• Office software proficiency (Microsoft Office).
• Pre-employment medical and National Police check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first response to incidents on site.
• Assist a team of paramedics, nurses and ESOs under SEM Supervisor.
• Assist in injury management and return to work duties.
• Conduct drug and alcohol testing and fitness-for-work assessments.
• Maintain site clinic standards, including auditing and ordering of drugs and equipment.
• Assist with training and HSE activities (PPE fit testing).
• Work with site Health teams to promote health initiatives on site.

Education

Bachelor of Nursing

Current AHPRA registration

About the role

This dynamic and busy role will utilise your experience in Medical Response & Injury and Health Management and offer rewarding career opportunity. You will be part of the site emergency response team by providing first response to all incidents and will be responsible for supporting the site training and HSE activities.

This role offers a roster providing work life balance off – 7 on/ 7 off roster with both day/night rotations. This position is based in Moranbah QLD and is a FIFO role for those who do not reside locally.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide first response to incidents and injuries on site
