Job summary

Respect Group’s Ingham Lodge is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the clinical team. You will provide person-centred nursing care and work closely with the Care Manager to support residents’ wellbeing and independence.

You will uphold clinical standards, maintain documentation, participate in GP rounds, and contribute to a compassionate, not-for-profit aged care environment. This role is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and nursing practice in aged care.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Ability to obtain National Police clearance.

Responsibilities

• Compile comprehensive histories to identify care needs on admission and during reviews.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation reflecting care delivery.
• Develop and evaluate resident care plans and assist with admission assessments.
• Provide direct nursing care (hygiene, pain management, GP rounds).
• Administer medications and ensure correct ordering, storage and documentation.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and families.

Seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse to join our clinical team at Ingham Lodge

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, competent, and contemporary clinical nursing care to residents within the scope of practice as determined by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Reporting directly to the Care Manager and General Manager, the Registered Nurse plays an integral role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of residents.

Key Duties

• Compile a comprehensive history from residents and/or family members to identify care needs through resident admissions and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation that reflects care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate resident care plans, and assist with admission assessments.
• Provide direct clinical care to residents as required, including (but not limited to) personal hygiene, pain management, massage therapy, and participating in GP rounds.
• Administer medications and ensure correct ordering, storage, and documentation procedures are followed in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents, families, and colleagues.

Essential Requirements

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge of the Residential Classification Scale and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Current National Police clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
• Understanding of government standards and legislative requirements for the delivery of aged care.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• An understanding of the aged care accreditation process.
