Respect Group’s Mareeba Gardens is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse to support residents with compassionate, person-centred care in a not-for-profit aged care facility.

Reporting to the Care Manager and General Manager, the RN will conduct assessments, support care planning, deliver clinical nursing care, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and dignified living for residents.

Qualifikationen

• Current registration with AHPRA is required.
• Knowledge of Residential Classification Scale and Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Current National NDIS worker screen or ability to obtain one.
• Understanding government standards for aged care delivery.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills.
• Understanding of the aged care accreditation process.

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, competent, and contemporary clinical nursing care to residents within the scope of practice as determined by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Reporting directly to the Care Manager and General Manager, the Registered Nurse plays an integral role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of residents.

Key Duties

• Compile a comprehensive history from residents and/or family members to identify care needs through resident admissions and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation that reflects care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate resident care plans, and assist with admission assessments.
• Provide direct clinical care to residents as required, including (but not limited to) personal hygiene, pain management, massage therapy, and participating in GP rounds.
• Administer medications and ensure correct ordering, storage, and documentation procedures are followed in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents, families, and colleagues.

Essential Requirements

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
