Lifeblood in Shepparton, Victoria is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the donor centre. You will deliver exceptional donor service, contribute to ensuring Australia’s blood supply, and work within a patient-focused environment that values community impact.

You will greet donors, conduct clinical oversight, perform routine tests, set up equipment, and manage donor safety throughout the donation process. A flexible fortnightly roster includes varied shifts.

Formación

• Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration.
• Ability to lift between 9-22.7 kg and stand/walk for long periods.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster including weekends.

• Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
• Set up machines and collection equipment; ensure safe needle insertion/removal.
• Monitor donors post-donation and assist with rebooking for next donation.

As a Registered Nurse, you will bring your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service, while working together to ensure Australia’s supply of blood products.

A day in the centre could see you:

• Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate


• Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process


• Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests


• Set up machines and collections equipment


• Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets


• Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance


• Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation

Our paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported. Besides having a real passion to deliver an exceptional donor experience, you’ll need to be able to:

• Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs


• Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products


• Utilise your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration


• Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts


• Have your own vehicle and driver's licence. If applicable
