Job summary

HammondCare Erina is seeking an experienced Part-time Registered Nurse to join our team for Day shifts. This role focuses on person-centred, relationship-based care that places residents’ needs first, within a consultative framework and aligned with RN registration requirements.

As part of a residential team, you will support care delivery, educate colleagues, and contribute to case management and clinical decision making. A strong passion for elder care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Prefer 2–3 years’ experience in aged care.
• Willingness to work day shifts on a part-time pattern.

Responsibilities

• As a core member of the residential team, provide tailored and individualised responsive care.
• Advise and support care delivery by the care staff.
• Educate and mentor in clinical areas and processes.
• Consult with case management and participate in clinical decision making.
• Maintain clinical oversight and professional competence as an RN.
• Support a resident comfort focus and use LeeCare reporting systems.

Shift pattern

Week One

• Monday 6:45-2:45
• Tuesday 6:45-2:45
• Wednesday 8-4pm
• Thursday 8-4pm
• Friday 8-4pm

Week Two

• Monday 6:45-2:45
• Tuesday 6:45-2:45
• Wednesday 8-4pm
• Thursday 8-4pm
• Friday 6:45-2:45

About The Role

This role is a clinical support role. It is the expectation from HammondCare that this role is carried out within a consultative and advisory context rather than an authoritarian approach. The role has a level of professional accountability and responsibility in line with the registration requirements as a RN qualified and current registration with AHPRA.

Essence Of The Role

As the RN you will be a core member of the residential team and work with both the management of the home and the carers to provide tailored and individualised responsive care for the residents.

• Advising and supporting the care delivery by the care staff
• Educating and mentoring in clinical areas and processes
• Consultative in case management and clinical decision making
• Clinical oversight and professional competence as a Registered Nurse
• Implement and support a resident comfort focus
• HammondCare uses LeeCare online reporting systems

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will

• Have current AHPRA registration with ideally 2-3 years experience in an Aged Care setting
• Be flexible and able to commit to the Shift pattern
• Value teamwork but also be able to work independently and show initiative
• Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
• Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people & you want to make a difference in their lives
• Possess strong admin and computer skills
