GenesisCare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cairns team in Queensland. You will provide patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary oncology setting, guiding patients and families through their treatment journey.

The role offers flexible full-time or part-time arrangements, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional development alongside Radiation Oncologists and Therapists.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Sound clinical nursing experience, oncology experience highly regarded but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
• Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving and care coordination skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care, including patient assessments, care planning, clinical observations and medication administration.
• Provide education, emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
• Work collaboratively with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with infection prevention, clinical safety and quality standards.
• Support and mentor junior nursing colleagues and students, sharing your knowledge and experience.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and evidence-based nursing practice to enhance patient care and outcomes.

As a Registered Nurse, you'll play a key role in providing compassionate, patient-centred care, supporting patients and their families while contributing to a safe, welcoming and supportive treatment environment.

More specifically, you will:
