GenesisCare Albany Radiation Oncology Centre is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join our team on a casual basis. You will provide high-quality clinical care across the patient journey, supported by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high-quality clinical care to patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Respond to individual patient needs with compassionate, patient-centred care.
• Undertake direct patient care including education, wound management, and medication administration per protocols.
• Manage patient caseloads while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Allied Health and Patient Services teams.
• Document, communicate, and action patient related events appropriately.
• Maintain procedures, protocols, practices and guidelines in line with best practice standards.
• Ensure medication management protocols are followed and ISBAR-based referrals/handovers are used.

Whether you're experienced in oncology nursing or looking to expand your skills into a specialist area, you'll be supported by a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for our patients.

As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality clinical care, education, and support to patients throughout their treatment journey. By responding to individual patient needs and delivering compassionate, patient centred care, you'll help create an exceptional experience for every patient.

More specifically, you will:

• Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
• Undertake direct patient care, including education, wound management, and medication administration in line with clinical protocols.
• Effectively manage patient caseloads while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Allied Health professionals and Patient Services teams.
• Ensure patient related events are documented, communicated, and actioned appropriately.
• Maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
• Ensure medication management protocols are followed.
• Facilitate referrals and communication with Allied Health services using ISBAR principles.
• Participate in patient handovers using the ISBAR communication framework.
• Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and a strong commitment to patient care.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous oncology, cancer care, or radiation oncology experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
• Strong clinical assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in wound care management.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, NSQHS standards, and continuous quality improvement.
• A strong focus on delivering outstanding patient care.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
