Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland – Cairns region is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Rockingham Aged Care team in Cardwell, QLD. This permanent part-time role focuses on maintaining high clinical standards and supporting residents and care staff.

You will perform medication administration, clinical assessments, care-plan updates and wound care, while leading on shift. AHPRA registration and relevant experience are required, with relocation support available for eligible

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 12 months of aged care or clinical experience preferred.
• Competent in medication management, wound care and care plan updates.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Not sponsorable due to Australian work rights restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and maintain clinical documentation.
• Perform baseline and focused clinical assessments.
• Review and update resident care plans.
• Provide wound care management and monitoring.
• Support and lead care staff on shift.
• Liaise with residents, families and staff; ensure policy compliance.

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Rockingham Aged Care Service in Cardwell.

You will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards and supporting both residents and care staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Medication administration and clinical documentation
• Conducting baseline and focused clinical assessments
• Reviewing and updating care plans
• Wound care management
• Supporting and leading care staff on shift
• Liaising with residents, families and staff
• Ensuring compliance with aged care standards and policies

About You

Are you somebody who is passionate about delivering quality Aged Care services to the local community?

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 12 months’ experience (desirable)
• Skilled in medication management, wound care, resident assessments and updating care plans
• Current First Aid, CPR Certificate, and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights –Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
