Job summary

Churches of Christ Residential Aged Care – Cardwell, QLD 4849 is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to support our team during leave coverage and maintain high clinical standards for residents and care staff.

As a casual RN, you will perform medication administration, clinical assessments, wound care and contribute to care plan updates, while leading shifts and liaising with residents, families and staff. We proudly operate as a not-for-profit with 140 years of care across Queensland and Victoria.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• 12 months’ experience working in aged care.
• Skills in medication management, wound care, resident assessments and updating care plans.
• First Aid, CPR Certificate, and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

About the Role:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a casual position, supporting our team with leave coverage at our Rockingham Aged Care Service.

This role is ideal for an experienced RN who is flexible and available to pick up shifts as needed. You will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards and supporting both residents and care staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Medication administration and clinical documentation
• Conducting baseline and focused clinical assessments
• Reviewing and updating care plans
• Wound care management
• Supporting and leading care staff on shift
• Liaising with residents, families and staff
• Ensuring compliance with aged care standards and policies

About You

Are you somebody who is passionate about delivering quality Aged Care services to the local community?

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 12 months’ experience working in aged care
• Skilled in medication management, wound care, resident assessments and updating care plans
• Current First Aid, CPR Certificate, and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable with ad hoc shifts
• Lives locally or within reasonable distance
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights –Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
