• Provide midwifery care and support at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
• Participate in education and mentorship programs to support professional growth.
• Upskill in venipuncture, cannulation, perineal suturing, postnatal education, and newborn assessment.

About the Role

We’re committed to helping you grow and feel confident in every stage of your midwifery journey. Whether you’re a newly graduated midwife looking to consolidate your skills, or an experienced clinician wanting to expand your scope, we provide ongoing education and professional development tailored to your goals.

Our team has access to regular in-service education sessions, simulation-based training, clinical support from experienced educators, and structured mentorship to help you develop both confidence and competence. You’ll have opportunities to upskill in areas such as venepuncture, cannulation, perineal suturing, postnatal education, and newborn assessment, all within a supportive environment that values learning, teamwork, and professional growth.

We have after hours support from Postnatal Clinical Resource Midwives, and the RPAH Women & Babies service is supported by a Midwifery Unit Manager 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
