Job summary

Dubbo Regional Council is seeking a Manager Transport Assets to lead strategic planning and long-term stewardship of roads, bridges, footpaths, cycleways and transport infrastructure across the Dubbo region.

You’ll drive asset data informed decisions, shape renewal programs, secure grant funding and lead a dedicated team while partnering with government agencies and stakeholders to deliver sustainable transport outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent senior experience.
• Extensive experience in transport, civil infrastructure or asset management with lifecycle planning.
• Experience developing and monitoring long-term investment strategies and capital works.
• Strong knowledge of roads, bridges, culverts, footpaths and cycleways.
• Proven ability to lead asset data and support data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of long-term asset management strategies and investment programs.
• Guide lifecycle planning and renewal prioritisation to maximise benefits.
• Build partnerships with operational teams, senior leaders and agencies to deliver outcomes.
• Lead a dedicated asset-focused team and foster continuous improvement.
• Secure funding and ensure financial sustainability for transport infrastructure.
