Job summary

Gippsland Centre Against Sexual Assault (GCASA) in Morwell, VIC, seeks a Therapeutic Service Manager to lead clinical supervision across the Sexual Assault Support Service and to ensure high-quality therapeutic delivery regionally.

The role reports to the Director of Therapeutic Services and involves supervision of Clinical Supervisors and Counsellor Advocates, plus participation in after-hours crisis care. A degree-level qualification in relevant fields is required.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in social work, counselling, family therapy, or psychology, welfare, or a related field.
• Proven leadership and clinical supervision of multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience managing therapeutic programs with focus on high-quality outcomes.
• Advanced clinical experience working with complex trauma from sexual assault and family violence.
• Crisis intervention skills including risk assessment and safety planning with MARAM knowledge.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and professional guidelines (privacy, children at risk, MARAM, etc.).
• Excellent teamwork and communication, with initiative and reliability.
• Ability to build stakeholder relationships and collaborate with other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality clinical supervision and ongoing skill development with Senior Clinicians.
• Oversee management of clinical referrals and case load balancing across regions.
• Ensure trauma-informed, client-centered service delivery and outcomes.
• Guide service streams to deliver counselling, advocacy, and interventions.
• Support compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead therapeutic service development across GCASA's Sexual Assault Support Services.
• Engage with stakeholders to access GCASA services regionally.
• Ensure services meet legal and ethical guidelines, including privacy and safeguarding.
• Be on-call for after-hours crisis care as needed.
• Perform other duties as required by the Director Therapeutic Services.
