Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Manager for Defence and commercial construction across Sydney and regional NSW. You will own site delivery, coordinate multiple fronts and lead a hands-on team across live environments.

The role requires the ability to travel regionally, manage safety and quality, and work closely with directors and project teams to ensure on-time, compliant project handover.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager in commercial, government or Defence construction.
• Defence project experience, especially in live or secure environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction programming and subcontractor coordination.
• Experience delivering new-build, refurbishment or technically complex projects.
• Excellent WHS, quality assurance and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations from start to finish.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel across fronts.
• Drive construction programmes, sequencing and milestones.
• Maintain safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries and access requirements.
• Ensure works meet drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee works in live environments where needed.
• Maintain site records and quality documentation.
• Lead inspections, defect management and project handover.
