Job summary

Alzheimer’s Queensland is seeking an experienced community-services leader to manage and grow Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services across the Darling Downs region, based at the Toowoomba Multi Service Centre.

Reporting to the State Manager – Queensland & New South Wales, you will be accountable for service delivery, client engagement, financial and workforce performance, quality and sustainable growth. This is an opportunity to shape CHSP expansion in the area.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in community aged care or health.
• Experience managing government-funded programs, preferably CHSP.
• Responsible for budgets, workforce performance and service outcomes.
• Proven ability to grow services and increase client participation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of CHSP programs across Toowoomba.
• Ensure clients access meaningful activities based on interests and abilities.
• Lead and support care teams to deliver high-quality services.
• Oversee budgets, funded outputs, service utilisation and performance.
• Grow client participation and optimise funding use.
• Strengthen referral pathways and stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with funding agreements, quality standards and reporting.
• Monitor client outcomes, feedback and incidents.
• Improve systems, efficiency and consistency.
• Collaborate with Finance, People & Culture and Clinical Governance.
• Contribute to regional and organisational priorities.

Lead and grow established community programs supporting older people across the Toowoomba region

$150,000 (depending on experience) + 12% superannuation + salary packaging + fully maintained motor vehicle for business and personal use

Based at our Toowoomba Multi Service Centre

Alzheimer’s Queensland is seeking an experienced community-services leader to manage and grow our Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services across the Darling Downs region.

Reporting to the State Manager – Queensland & New South Wales, you will be accountable for service delivery, client engagement, financial and workforce performance, quality, community engagement and sustainable growth.

With increasing demand and the extension of CHSP, this is an opportunity to build on an established service and guide its next stage of development.

What you will do

What you will bring

• Significant leadership experience in community aged care, health, disability or another funded community service.


• Experience managing government-funded programs, preferably CHSP.

• Strong governance, quality, compliance and risk-management capability.


• Commercial judgement and confidence using performance data to guide decisions.

• A current driver’s licence, unrestricted working rights and the ability to travel throughout the region
