Job summary

Chandler Macleod in Warrnambool region is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a field-based sales team, drive growth, and shape sales strategy across foodservice and FMCG sectors. Based in the Warrnambool region with regular travel to Horsham area, you will coach reps, build key relationships, manage budgets, and use CRM to monitor performance.

Candidates should have proven leadership, strong territory management, and a track record of achieving margins.

• Proven experience in sales leadership or sales management.
• Strong field sales and territory management experience.
• Demonstrated success developing and leading high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Representatives.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new team members.
• Drive sales and margin growth through strategic planning and execution.
• Develop and implement local sales plans aligned with broader business objectives.
• Protect and grow existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
• Analyse sales performance data and implement corrective actions where required.
• Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and performance reviews.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure effective adoption and utilisation of CRM and sales management systems.
• Lead sales meetings and communicate key business initiatives and priorities.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
