Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a permanent full-time professional to lead the delivery of regional road infrastructure projects and maintenance across Tamworth region. The role involves travel to Glen Innes and Tenterfield, ensuring on-time delivery, safety, quality and budget compliance while coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.

You will lead and develop diverse teams, foster a strong safety culture, and manage contracts and reporting to support compliance and project success.

Qualifications

• Four-year Engineering degree from an Australian university or equivalent.
• Experience delivering civil road infrastructure projects and maintenance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and effective delivery of road infrastructure projects and maintenance programs across regional NSW, ensuring time, cost, quality and scope targets are met.
• Develop delivery plans and schedules, coordinating activities, teams, contractors and service providers across multiple locations.
• Manage customer communication and build productive relationships with contractors, stakeholders and regional communities; administer contracts and ensure WHS and environmental compliance.
• Lead and develop diverse teams, promote safety culture, support wellbeing and build team capability.
