Job summary

Tamworth Regional Council is seeking a Project & Approvals Officer to support engineering and operational teams in delivering road maintenance, operations and infrastructure projects across the Tamworth Regional Council area.

You will assist with budgets, planning, contract documentation and reporting, coordinating capital works, and providing practical support to engineers, supervisors and technical staff. This role offers scope to manage multiple priorities within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience supporting teams in the delivery of infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of contract administration and project management principles.
• Ability to research information & present findings clearly.
• Current Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the management & financial control of infrastructure projects & operational functions.
• Assist with budget reviews, estimating & capital works planning.
• Provide technical project support for road maintenance, operations & infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical & administrative assistance to a range of stakeholders.
• Have the ability to use your initiative, work independently & develop priorities.
• Work as a collaborative member of the engineering & operational team.
