Job summary

Water Corporation seeks a Project Leader – Regional Projects to lead and deliver complex regional capital and large non-capital projects from scoping through closeout. Based in Karratha, you will coordinate consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

About The Role

The Project Leader – Regional Projects role is a position responsible for leading and delivering complex capital (Category D) and large non capital projects across regional areas, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. The role involves end to end project and contract management, coordination of consultants and contractors, works inspections, and strong engagement with internal and external stakeholders. A strong focus is placed on safety leadership, compliance, and ethical conduct, along with sound technical, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. The position operates with financial responsibility for projects of approximately $3 million and requires significant experience in engineering project management, ideally within the water or infrastructure sector.

Your Skills And Experience
  • Tertiary level qualification in engineering, project management or relevant discipline and considerable experience delivering complex capital and non capital projects, ideally within engineering, infrastructure, or the water industry
  • You bring strong project and contract management capability, including tendering, contractor oversight, and financial control
  • You demonstrate a proactive commitment to health, safety, and compliance, leading by example in all work activities
  • You communicate confidently and build effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • You are well organised, analytical, and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality outcomes
  • You align with organisational values and contribute positively to a collaborative, high performance team culture
