Job summary

Water Corporation is seeking an experienced Analyst – Financial Performance to join our Financial Services Business Unit in WA. The role supports the Operations Group–Mid West Region with budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.

This permanent position involves delivering comprehensive financial services, driving improvements, and occasional travel to the Mid West Region. John Tonkin Water Centre, Leederville, is the base; applicants should have SAP/ABP experience and advanced MS Office

Qualifications

• Degree level qualifications in accounting or finance or approved equivalent.
• Sound experience in providing financial and management accounting service in a large multi-functional organisation.
• Considerable experience with computerised financial systems i.e. SAP & ABP.
• Relevant experience in budgeting and financial management.
• Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office software packages.
• Experience in using SAP FICO and other relevant modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive range of financial & accounting services within the Operations Group – Mid West Region, incorporating all budgeting, forecasting, business performance reviews, analysis and reporting.
• Preparation and analysis of monthly financial management reports and Business Performance Reports.
• Provide consultancy on finance and accounting issues as required.
• Undertake analysis, monitoring and reporting on financial performance for the Region, as required.
• Identify strategies for improvement in business performance.
• Undertake additional duties as directed by line manager.
• This role is based at John Tonkin Water Centre in Leederville and will require travel to the Mid West Region each month.

In this role, you'll partner with business leaders across the organisation to deliver high-quality financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting services that support strategic decision-making and business performance. You'll play a key role in helping business units understand their financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure sound financial management practices across Water Corporation.

The core function of this role is to support the Operations Group – Mid West Region business performance through the delivery of a comprehensive range of financial and accounting services, including identification of business improvement opportunities in the Region.
