Job summary

Aussie Locums presents an opportunity for a Pharmacist in Charge in Northern Queensland. Lead a busy community pharmacy, overseeing dispensing, services, and a 38-hour week across five days with Saturdays.

You will play a pivotal leadership role within the Douglas Chemists Group and enjoy relocation support and accommodation allowance. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor of Pharmacy, current AHPRA registration, and at least 3 years as a pharmacist.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD is required.
Current General AHPRA registration is mandatory.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing, workflow management, and inventory control.
Ensure compliance with professional, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and support pharmacy staff, including rostering and professional development.
Maintain accurate records and documentation to legislative standards.
Deliver and grow professional services including vaccinations, medicinal cannabis, opioid substitution program, and DAAs.
Provide high-quality clinical advice and exceptional customer service.
Build relationships with local prescribers and healthcare providers.
Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice and regulatory changes.
