Job summary

ACCIONA, a Tier 1 contractor, is recruiting a Project Engineer for its regional NSW projects. You will coordinate engineering works, scheduling, procurement and quality control under the Senior Project Engineer, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality delivery within budget.

The role requires a Civil Engineering qualification and demonstrated forecasting and budgeting experience, with the ability to translate designs into actionable plans and to work on regional project sites.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualified in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Experience with forecasting and budgeting.
• Ability to translate design into written construction plans and drawings illustrating methodologies.
• Develop project delivery plans and schedules.
• Evaluates commercial and technical risk.
• Coordinates with team members and addresses routine issues with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work on regional NSW project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the SPE and Construction Manager to ensure the project is delivered to cost & time with resources needed, leading to client satisfaction.
• Identify and assess risk to the project and implement mitigation strategies.
• Cost and forecast control to assist project managers with strategic planning.
• Build effective and collaborative relationships to coordinate activities with supervisors.
• Maintain quality, environmental, and safety systems across the project.
• Liaise with subcontractors to monitor and control performance, ensuring workmanship meets specifications.
• Manage construction budgets to allow accurate profit/loss forecasting and monitor financial performance.
