Job summary

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) NSW is seeking a Procurement Officer on a temporary basis, 35 hours per week, across multiple NSW locations. You will support a broad range of procurement activities, ensuring compliance with NSW Government policies and delivering value-for-money outcomes for agriculture, biosecurity and regional development.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of NSW Government procurement legislation, policies and procedures.
• Experience with Plan, Source and Manage processes and governance.
• Experience in tender management, including documentation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to procurement queries via email and Teams.
• Ensure tender documentation is accurate with buyers.
• Publish and update tenders on buy.nsw.
• Maintain low-value procurement records in Source to Contract System.
• Provide administrative support to the procurement team.
• Ensure compliance with procurement legislation and policies.
• Liaise with key government bodies to support policy development.
• Deliver strategic procurement support across process areas.
• Assist in developing and maintaining procurement procedures.
