Job summary

REMONDIS Australia is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead Victorian operations across multiple sites, focusing on process optimisation and improving efficiency across P&L and cross-functional teams.

You will drive commercial growth, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and deploy new technologies to enhance waste treatment efficiency and sustainability, while building strong partnerships with customers and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Environmental Science (preferred).
• In-depth understanding of waste management technologies, environmental regulations, and sustainability.
• Experience in a multi-site collections business, preferably within waste industry.
• Hazardous materials management certification desirable.
• Ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers and regulators.
• Experience in optimizing operations and meeting performance targets.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in waste industry.
• Current license copy and entitlement to work in Australia.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and people-centric Regional Manager to lead our Victorian operations across multiple sites, you will manage the end-to-end operations focusing on process optimisation and improvement to drive operational efficiencies across the P&L and multi-disciplined teams. Your background and previous success driving commercial growth and developing opportunities within revenue streams across Waste Management & Environmental Services will be highly valued.

The Role:

• Optimise operational roadmaps to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Drive efficiencies and performance improvements across safety, productivity, profitability, cost management, cash flow and compliance
• Be responsible for adequately resourcing and equipping all business functions of the branch including people, structure and equipment
• Maintain regulatory compliance: Ensure all waste treatment processes comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Identify and implement new technologies and processes to enhance waste treatment efficiency and sustainability.
• Foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to enhance business partnerships.
• Lead and manage multiple projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
• In-depth understanding of waste management technologies, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices.
• Demonstrated experience in a collections business across multiple sites preferably within the waste industry
• Relevant certifications in hazardous materials management desirable.
• Foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to enhance business partnerships.
• Optimise operational workflows to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to meet and exceed performance targets.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and high safety standards.
• Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the waste management industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the waste industry.
• You'll need a copy of a current licence and proof of entitlement to work in Australia.
• You'll undergo a police check and pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test.
