Job summary

Qube is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead regional maintenance across the Mid-West operation in Australia. The role focuses on safe, compliant, reliable and cost-effective asset availability, reporting to the General Manager and aligning with production and customer needs.

You will oversee workshop teams, drive maintenance strategies, coordinate major overhauls, and lead continuous improvement across multiple sites within the Qube Bulk division.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in senior maintenance or workshop leadership roles.
• Relevant trade qualification in heavy diesel, mechanical or electrical fields.
• Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership to workshop and maintenance teams across the region, fostering safety and high performance.
• Lead, coach and develop direct reports and succession pipelines.
• Drive consistency of maintenance practices, standards and systems across all sites.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies and lifecycle plans for major assets and fleets.
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, execution quality and backlog control through the CMMS.
• Coordinate major overhauls, shutdowns and specialist maintenance activities.
• Monitor asset reliability, availability and cost performance; identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support capital planning, replacement strategies and business cases with lifecycle cost analysis.
