Job summary

Mission Australia in Belmont, WA invites applications for a Full-Time Regional Leader to guide Local Area Coordination teams, ensuring high-quality, person-centred services. You will lead geographically dispersed teams, partner with Area Managers, and drive operational excellence across a diverse regional portfolio.

The role requires tertiary qualifications or extensive senior leadership in human services, with strong financial management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Human Services, Business, Leadership and Management, or related discipline, or extensive senior leadership experience within human services, disability or community services.
• Experience managing NDIS funded services and understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards, Quality and Safeguards Framework, and participant-centred service delivery.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams to achieve high performance and engagement.
• Strong operational management capability with experience delivering services against contractual, compliance, quality and performance requirements.
• Sound financial management experience, including responsibility for large and complex budgets, forecasting and resource allocation.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with government, funders, partners, participants and families.
• Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills for senior-level representation.
• Background checks including national police history, qualifications verification and referee checks, and clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a geographically dispersed Local Area Coordination portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality service delivery.
• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to Area Managers and service leaders, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Drive the achievement of contract outcomes, service targets and organisational priorities across the region.
• Ensure all services operate in line with regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements.
• Develop workforce plans to strengthen capability, support succession planning and address future service delivery needs.
• Manage regional budgets, financial performance and resource allocation to ensure sustainability and responsible stewardship of funding.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, growth and service improvement that enhance participant outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Champion a participant-centred approach that promotes choice, inclusion, independence and positive outcomes for people with disability.
