Job summary

Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation (AKKF) seeks a Regional Lead for South East Queensland to empower young people through engaging community programs. You’ll work remotely, building relationships with communities and mental health partners, and coordinate Camps, Activity Days and Connect sessions across Brisbane to Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.

You’ll develop and adapt programs to meet regional needs, supervise volunteers, ensure WHS compliance, and collaborate with local partners to create

Qualifications

• Experience in community settings and youth programs.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with community stakeholders.
• Experience engaging with young people in programs.
• Ability to plan and promote intake initiatives.
• Knowledge of WHS requirements in program settings.
• Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
• Current First Aid Certificate including CPR.
• Current Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Engage with communities and mental health sector to promote AKKF.
• Identify and engage young people for AKKF programs.
• Coordinate delivery of face-to-face youth programs.
• Coordinate program materials, people, travel and admin.
• Coordinate with suppliers for favourable terms.
• Recruit and engage volunteers for program delivery.
• Ensure WHS requirements are met.
• Facilitate engaging and safe program experiences.
• Build relationships with partners, volunteers, families and young people.
• Regularly participate in programs and events (in person and online).
