Job summary

Etheridge Shire Council invites applications for the Director of Engineering Services based in Georgetown. You will join the Executive Leadership Team and lead a diverse portfolio, guiding roads, water, waste, parks and asset management, with accountability for major projects and DRFA programs.

The role combines strategic planning with practical delivery, communicating complex information clearly to the CEO, Councillors, staff and community stakeholders to ensure informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree or equivalent experience in infrastructure.
• Postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded.
• Membership of Engineers Australia or IPWEA is preferred.
• RPEQ registration or ability to obtain it is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for roads, water, waste and asset management.
• Oversee major project delivery, capital works and program governance.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Councillors and stakeholders.
• Balance long-term planning with service delivery for community growth.

Civil Engineering degree
