Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Central West District is seeking a Manager (Delivery & Operations) to lead the delivery of a regional transport infrastructure program from Barcaldine. You will influence district strategy, manage a team of project managers and engineers, and coordinate with local government, industry and communities to deliver road, bridge and maintenance contracts.

The role requires a Civil Engineering background with Washington Accord accreditation, RPEQ

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited by Washington Accord.
• Current registration as Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
• Extensive experience delivering road infrastructure programs and contracts.
• Strong program and project management capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to safety, governance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery and performance of the district's infrastructure program.
• Provide strategic advice to the District Director on priorities, risks and delivery outcomes.
• Lead and develop project managers and technical teams.
• Monitor program performance, budgets and schedules.
• Oversee delivery of complex road, bridge and maintenance contracts; build stakeholder relationships.
• Lead stakeholder engagement activities to support successful project delivery and ensure safety, governance and technical standards compliance.
